Quantitative Applications Developer


We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to join our technology team. Primary responsibility is development of custom quantitative systems to support research, portfolio management, and trading processes. This role will report to CTO and work closely with the business teams (PMs, Research, Product, Client Reporting, Sales, & Business Management).

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Design and implement decision support systems to support custom quantitative processes, including integration of research and portfolio management systems across a variety of asset classes.
  • Support existing production systems including troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with the business owners to gather and document business requirements and functional specifications
  • Work on the team following agile methodologies

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Expertise and experience with Python
  • Expertise and experience with relational databases (i.e. Postgress, Oracle, Aurora)
  • Expertise and experience with OO languages such as C#, Java, or C++
  • Expertise and experience working in AWS is a plus (AWS developer certificate is highly desirable)
  • Experience designing and building interactive web and/or mobile interfaces
  • Expertise with API creation and RESTful services
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Agile, and CICD is a plus

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Comp Science is minimum requirement, MS degree in CS preferred
  • 5+ years applications development experience with full-stack development and agile frameworks
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and service-oriented design
  • Work effectively both independently and as a contributing team member
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in Financial Industry is a plus
